Guest House

Front rendering of this guest house on a cattle ranch in Sonoita, Arizona. The intent was to keep the adobe ranch look of the house but rework the front to have a large patio and then add two more bedrooms, two baths, and a bunk room on the back. Large wood columns and beams with a wood tongue and groove ceiling help warm up the porch next to the adobe stucco and tile flooring.

We updated the efficiency of the residence by changing the roof to a galvanized vertical seam metal roof to reduce heat gain, changed the hot water system to one whole house instant hot water unit, and replaced the existing air conditioning units with more efficient condensers.
